What a wacky year so far. Very early warmup gave things a jumpstart. Then the mother of all Mother's Days gave us snow, followed by freezing temperatures for three nights. Since then we've had warmups and lots of rain, cooldowns ..... I guess it's actually fairly normal for Rochester! Not conducive to growing good peppers outside, but pretty good for growing good trees. Since it's only the beginning of July we still have a lot of time to get some good growth on the trees and shrubs this year. Some are blooming early like Stewartia, Bottlebrush Buckeye, Golden Raintree and Maackia; others will perhaps not be swayed by weather and stick to schedule.
I have some very nice large Katsuras and River Birch looking for good homes as well as Ruby Spice Clethras, and lots more. So, give me a call and come down and see me at the Hollow.
